:: Last Few Days For Fresh Apricots

Sunday, July 18th, will be the last day to get fresh Blenheim apricots!  Unusually cool weather has caused our fruit to stop growing and beg to come off the trees....still green on the shoulders and ripe on the bottom.  Everything will be picked by this Sunday!  Don't miss out on the fabulous taste of fresh Blenheims!

Call to reserve your cases.  Available only for local pickup or pickup at Farmer's Markets.  They truly are the best tasting apricots in the world!

Don't forget our newly harvested delicious dried cots available along with tasty jams and syrups.  Got a sweet tooth?  You should try our delicious Apricot Puddles (dried apricots and caramel covered in rich chocolate).

Old Fashioned Apricot Custard Pie

 

Ingredients:

1 Prepared, refrigerated pie crust

1/2 pound dried apricots

1 1/2 cups sugar

3 eggs well beaten

1 Tbsp. flour

1 cup milk

1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

1) Line a 9-inch pie pan with prepared pie crust.

2) Place apricots in pan and cover with boiling water. Cook until tender and sweeten to taste with 1/2 cup sugar.

3) Combine eggs, 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, and vanilla.

4) Spread tender apricots in bottom of the pie crust lined pie pan.  Pour milk mixture over apricots.

5) Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
