Apricot King's Blenheim apricots are heavenly: sweet and tart and chewy all at once. And they have that beautiful deep orange glow. I live in Virginia where these apricots are not commercially available. About 10 years ago, I had my first taste of Blenheim apricots at the Berkeley Bowl in Berkeley, California. I asked if they could ship them to me in Virginia, but they said they didn't ship. Then I discovered Apricot King. What joy! I order a ten pound bag, and divide them up into 10 smaller freezer bags. I freeze nine, start eating one and then gradually defrost and eat my way through the other nine bags (including some apricots that I put at the bottom of a glass of vodka on the rocks - they get a fabulous weird texture from being soaked in the cold vodka). I have been a dried apricot fan since I was about 5 years old. Apricot King Blenheims are the best dried apricots I have ever eaten -- and I've eaten a lot of apricots!

These apricots are so tasty! I can’t even eat the ones available in the grocery stores, because they have such a chemical taste. Those from Apricot King are sweet and pure-tasting. I divide the bulk apricots into smaller bags for the freezer, so it’s a simple matter to always have a healthy snack available. Cut in pieces and added to cereal provides all the sweetness the cereal needs, plus a burst of flavor with each bite.
