About ApricotKing
Since 1946, the Gonzales family has grown the rare and fabulous California Blenheim apricots. Grown on our Hollister ranch, we continue to be the farmer, pruner, dryer, packer, and seller of the vanishing Blenheim apricot. We produce the best tasting apricots in the world all "Home Grown in the Flavor Zone"!
In addition to our incredible dried apricots, be sure to discover our variety of nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds) and other dried fruits (peaches, pears, prunes, and more). For those who believe less is more, we have dark and delicious unsulfured dried apricots. And don't forget our sweet and tart selection of apricot jams and syrups as well as our decadent chocolate covered fruits and nuts. Simply delicious! Everything here on the ranch is organically grown.
Enjoy!

"Which apricots are the sweetest?"
The answer to the question:
SLABS...ALWAYS SLABS....
Slabs have the highest sugar content of all the apricots because they're longer on the tree...picked when they're soft and overripe.
Ours are machine cut, paper-thin, and delicate...even though they're the most labor intensive to produce.
These cots are separated from the rest of the pack by their unique color and flat-ness.
Blenheim slabs are the ultimate #1 choice of apricot aficionados everywhere!
Low in sulphur, so eat them, or refrigerate.

Just the best!

I cut cots when I was a teenager and I remember taking a slab off the drying tray. The slabs take me back and they taste just as wonderful as I remember.

Aces for eating
Posted by Mike in Tucson on Sep 23rd 2021
The slab are absolutely the best eating apricots I have ever purchased commercially. The light sulfur preservative doesn’t come through until you’ve eaten more at one sitting than is appropriate. I know, I have. I still went back for more.

Apricot King blenheims -- best fresh apricots; best dried apricots.
Posted by Gayle Dukelow on Sep 20th 2021
These are by far the best tasting apricots I've tasted, whether fresh or dried. They are sweet, soft, and have that distinctive apricot tang missing in most apricots today.
Well worth my annual drive from LA to Santa Cruz/ Hollister to eat them fresh. I order enough dried to get me from July to July and to give to my more discerning friends.

Mmmm...tasty!

The apricot slabs are excellent! Remind me of 'cots we dried in our backyard when we were kids. No comparison with any dried apricots in the grocery store, even if they say from California. Nice to be able to order online.

Exceeds expectations, again.

I'm already thinking about ordering more. So much better than the Turkish apricots available in local grocery stores. I highly recommend these apricots.

No finer 'cots
Posted by Dave on Aug 23rd 2021
These are The BEST. There is no finer dried apricot in the world than a AK Slab. Our family buys them 10 pounds at a time, every few months while they last. Truly, they are food for the body and the soul.
My grandparents moved to the Bay Area when it was still mostly Blenheim orchards, before Silicon was appended to Valley and the trees got displaced by nerds (like me). But the family ties to California apricots runs deep in my blood. After years of trying different dried cots I found Apricot King Slabs. Nothing else compares.
