But slabs are sat a minimum right now.
Slabs have the highest sugar content of all the apricots because they're longer on the tree...picked when they're soft and overripe.
Ours are machine cut, paper-thin, and delicate...even though they're the most labor intensive to produce.
These cots are separated from the rest of the pack by their unique color and flat-ness.

it is rare to find truly fine quality anywhere.. the hard work, unstinting standards, devotion it takes to keep the Blenheim apricot 'here', for us-- anywhere in the country-- is amazing. I had never heard of 'slabs' before, or 'leathers', but when I open my refrigerator and Patti's are there for me, I silently thank her every time! YUM and BRAVO!
