Pick the Fancy Blend Apricots......very overripe and excellent.
But slabs are sat a minimum right now.
Slabs have the highest sugar content of all the apricots because they're longer on the tree...picked when they're soft and overripe.
Ours are machine cut, paper-thin, and delicate...even though they're the most labor intensive to produce.
These cots are separated from the rest of the pack by their unique color and flat-ness.

Daily treat
In addition to being the best dried apricots they give us a little bit of the California we once knew. We keep a container of them on the table and have some every day. There isn't anything better.

These are the best dried apricots EVER! I grew up in the Bay Area and was introduced to Blenheim apricots at a young age. There is no comparison to the overly-sulfured Turkish apricots most stores stock. These apricots are so moist and sweet with that extreme tang that apricots have. Only in America
When I was a kid, 70 years ago, always got a box of California apricots for Christmas. These ApricotKing Blenheims are the World's Best and bring back so MANY grand memories. Might even give your submaxillary gland a zing, but I make no promises there. Yes, the price is premium, but eat just one Blenheim and you'll throw rocks at the imported shoe leather they sell in groceries and dare call 'apricots'.
