Since 1946, the Gonzales family has grown the rare and fabulous California Blenheim apricots. Grown on our Hollister ranch, we continue to be the farmer, pruner, dryer, packer, and seller of the vanishing Blenheim apricot. We produce the best tasting apricots in the world all "Home Grown in the Flavor Zone"!
In addition to our incredible dried apricots, be sure to discover our variety of nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds) and other dried fruits (peaches, pears, prunes, and more). For those who believe less is more, we have dark and delicious unsulfured dried apricots. And don't forget our sweet and tart selection of apricot jams and syrups as well as our decadent chocolate covered fruits and nuts. Simply delicious! Everything here on the ranch is organically grown.
Apricot Leathers (5 lbs. bulk)
The wildly popular and fabulously sweet leathers are the first items to sell our after each harvest.
The old-timers are always asking for overripe fruit done the "old fashioned" way...overripe fruit pulled off the tray & very, very sun-dried.
They are intensely flavored, tough, & killer sweet (think of a brand new pair of jeans - they're never the same after you wash them).
These are unique in their flavor and texture. Jaw-breaker status.
A fight to the finish, (and we like it that way), dried to a crispy, leathery status.
If you like them soft and moist, order our DF-21 Orchard Blend or our regular slabs .
Leathers can be re-hydrated by rinsing them in water, but who would want to do that? Keep refrigerated or frozen.
Finally a good start dried apricot
