About ApricotKing
Since 1946, the Gonzales family has grown the rare and fabulous California Blenheim apricots. Grown on our Hollister ranch, we continue to be the farmer, pruner, dryer, packer, and seller of the vanishing Blenheim apricot. We produce the best tasting apricots in the world all "Home Grown in the Flavor Zone"!
In addition to our incredible dried apricots, be sure to discover our variety of nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds) and other dried fruits (peaches, pears, prunes, and more). For those who believe less is more, we have dark and delicious unsulfured dried apricots. And don't forget our sweet and tart selection of apricot jams and syrups as well as our decadent chocolate covered fruits and nuts. Simply delicious! Everything here on the ranch is organically grown.
Enjoy!
Dried Bing Cherries (Unsulphured)
The 2018 Bing Cherry crop was very limited due to horrible harvest weather.
The few we harvested were pitted and sun- dried without sulphur dioxide.
Our cherries this year are different, almost black in color, because of the
drying process.
Always best to keep these cherries refrigerated or frozen.
10 oz.

Mon chéri

The Gonzales Family has preserved a way of life and a method of producing and preserving delicious fruits and nuts. I have used their products for years...beginning at a Framer's Market, over 20 years ago, and now by mail. The Gonzales' are truly wonderful people, and they sell equally wonderful products. Now, let me explain why only 4 stars...it has nothing to do with the fruit, per see...it is that the cherries are no longer treated with the low sulfur...and I love the small "Tang" that it gave the flavor. Otherwise, the cherries are great.

The dried bing cherries are the best I have tried...no more dried out, hard to chew store bought varieties.
Thank you Apricot King for consistently good products -
Cherries to savor.

The dried cherries are great in cookies and baked good and you can also use them in sauces or just eat them. I have a couple of cookie recipes where they really shine. So happy to have discovered them.

The 2019 cherry crop was outstanding this year. The dried cherries are plump and sweet. I bought 8 pounds of them this year from the Gonzales family.

Cherry Feast!!
Posted by Jacqueline Novin on Sep 22nd 2019
I had a most excellent salad in Rochester, MN, and where I thought I would find the usual dried cranberries, there were dried cherries in their stead. I vowed to make it for guests (and myself) but dried cherries are relatively hard to find. I was so excited to see them at ApricotKing. I knew the quality would be exceptional, and I was right.
Although I don't have the exact recipe, the salad contained baby lettuces, dried cherries, sugared walnuts (also available at ApricotKing, which is where I got them), buttermilk dressing and crumbled blue cheese. Thank you, Pescara restaurant for creating this wonderful salad.!
