About ApricotKing
Since 1946, the Gonzales family has grown the rare and fabulous California Blenheim apricots. Grown on our Hollister ranch, we continue to be the farmer, pruner, dryer, packer, and seller of the vanishing Blenheim apricot. We produce the best tasting apricots in the world all "Home Grown in the Flavor Zone"!
In addition to our incredible dried apricots, be sure to discover our variety of nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds) and other dried fruits (peaches, pears, prunes, and more). For those who believe less is more, we have dark and delicious unsulfured dried apricots. And don't forget our sweet and tart selection of apricot jams and syrups as well as our decadent chocolate covered fruits and nuts. Simply delicious! Everything here on the ranch is organically grown.
Enjoy!
SlipPits (Gourmet 14 oz)
2023 Crop
Not every apricot can grow up to be a SLIPPIT.
You must be extra-large, plump, flawless, and ripe.
We save the best Blenheims of the day for slippits............the Cadillac of our Line.
These luscious slippits are dried whole in the sun.
After 3-4 days, the pit is gently slipped out.
That little bit of extra roasted-in-pit time, gives the slippies an extra pizzaz and unique flavor.
These are show-piece - large.
We run short of these every year......

Worth the Hype
Posted by Stew on Apr 11th 2022
Never tried these before & saw the hype for them on the Website. Definitely a step up from the regular dried apricot & in my opinion, well worth the hype & premium price. I'll be back for more.

Happy Tastebuds
Posted by Y Low on Jan 17th 2022
After ordering 16 oz packages two separate times, I decided it was time to get wise and order the 2.5 pound package. Unfortunately, not every single slippit was tender and sweet as in the smaller packages so a bit disappointed, but not enough to stop eating them or stop ordering them.

My Mouth is Happy Part Two
Posted by Unknown on Dec 11th 2021
I've been ordering Blenheims from ApricotKing for years now, and my taste buds thank me over and over. This is my second order of slippits, and I've already eaten half the order. Moderation, in this case, has no bearing on my consumption of these beauties. I will be ordering more, for sure.

Blenheims Are The Best!
Posted by Diane Diggisn on Dec 5th 2021
Years ago when I moved to the Santa Clara Valley, there were still a number of Blenheim Apricot orchards. In fact, for a few years I loved across the road from a small Blenheim orchard in the east foothills of San Jose. Then one day I sat at my front window and watched a crew uproot all the trees with tears streaming down my face. Shortly afterwards, the land was paved over to make a church parking lot. But the Gonzales family has carried on with maintaining Blenheims as a way to save the historical fruit that made this The Valley of Heart's Delight. They are delicious fresh or dried, and the slip pits are the BEST!
