"Sugar 'n Spice and apricot nice", describes this golden sauce...perfect served over ice cream.
Ingredients:
1 can (17 oz.) apricot halves in syrup
2 (3") cinnamon sticks
8 whole cloves
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
Directions
Drain apricots, saving syrup. Combine syrup with spices, sugar, and butter in a saucepan. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes to bring out spice flavor. Add apricots and heat through. Serve hot over vanilla ice cream.
Makes 1 1/3 cups.
